About me

So happy that you have found my website!

On Lifestyle2go.com I share through weekly blogs, all my personal findings in the field of Lifestyle, which are life-enriching.

For years people have been picking my brains for tips on travel, fashion, interior, recipes, beauty, events and much more.

My creativity is partly due to the many worldwide travels I've made and the different countries and places where I have lived as a child with my parents, alone and with my family.

My work as an interior designer is something I have inherited from home. My mother was always busy with decorating and changing our interior. Subconsciously, I took the habit on as a child and made sure my room was always contemporary with a personal warm touch.

Since then I have assisted many projects, or with complete renovations, or with the intervention of the whole device with my company: MOS interiors.

As an interior specialist and editor of a lifestyle magazine, all wonderful places in the world that I have visited as well as the many people I meet on my path, have inspired me in my sense of color, space and insights into trends.

I am also very privileged to be allowed to live in an inspiring piece of world heritage: our own capital 'Amsterdam'.

Let me and my guest bloggers take you to the beautiful things in life and especially do not hesitate to provide us with your comments at the bottom of each blog-posts or on the Facebook page of Lifestyle2go.

Enjoy reading and viewing with pleasure!

It is almost Christmas time. Throughout the city you see the sparkling of all the little lights and everyone has decorated his home in varying degrees. It looks so festive everywhere.   Men and women are considering the many recipes for divine menus to treat their family and friends with at Christmas.

Skin Sense Day Spa, Johannesburg

With Christmas and the end of a busy 2013 just around the corner, I’ve been feeling pretty exhausted and in much need of some R&R. I decided to treat my husband and myself to an early Christmas present. So I booked us into the renowned in Johannesburg for a full day of pampering and relaxation.

The new 'Black'
Posted on: 17 december 2013 Posted by: Madelon

Before, I would never combine the colors black and blue. But in fashion you get used to everything and even learn to like it. So, this winter I ‘cheerful’ combine these two darks colors. Leather and suede should again be part of your wardrobe. In recent years it was often leather leggings ...

So nice to find these beautiful wordly Suites at Den-Bosch! In a beautiful historic building, situated in the historic centre, there are four large suites all styled into a private and luxury contempory way.   On the grond flour you will find restaurant Fabuleux and that also looks promising.

Boath House, Nairn, Scotland
Posted on: 09 december 2013 Posted by: Madelon

It is obviously inconvenient if I give your tips in breathtakingly Scotland, without starting with recommendation of a hotel near aforementioned Findhorn first. My absolute favorite is Boath House on the northeast cost of Scotland, in Nairn. A beautiful regency house with an interesting historical past.

Last night the most beloved and one of the most extraordinary world leaders of the past century passed away. What made it very special was that we had, as our guests, our South African au pair, from many years ago, over with her family. She was our first encounter with the white Afrikaner and we learned a lot about her country during her stay with us.

Indispensable step ladder
Posted on: 05 december 2013 Posted by: Madelon

They are ideal and indispensable in ones interior. I regularly climb on top to get something from a high cabinet. And even if we have few barstools during drinks at the counter, we pull up our Ikea friend. But the stepladder is also handy to use as a bedside table. The Swedish Bekväm only costs 9.

Findhorn, Scotland
Posted on: 02 december 2013 Posted by: Madelon

Because two of our children have spent a couple of years at a school in North East Scotland, I often travelled back to visit them. Whether for hockey games, plays, teacher talks, dance performances, parent weekends, end off term partying ... whatever excuse there was to see them. I really fell in love with this country and the humour full Scottish people.

The Butler
Posted on: 01 december 2013 Posted by: Madelon

Yesterday evening I saw a movie at the cinemas that I would recommend highly to everyone. What a beautiful, partly based on truth, touching story about a sharecropper's son who grew up in the 1920s as a domestic servant for the white family who casually destroyed his life. Eventually striking out on ...
