About me

So happy that you have found my website!

On Lifestyle2go.com I share through weekly blogs, all my personal findings in the field of Lifestyle, which are life-enriching.

For years people have been picking my brains for tips on travel, fashion, interior, recipes, beauty, events and much more.

My creativity is partly due to the many worldwide travels I've made and the different countries and places where I have lived as a child with my parents, alone and with my family.

My work as an interior designer is something I have inherited from home. My mother was always busy with decorating and changing our interior. Subconsciously, I took the habit on as a child and made sure my room was always contemporary with a personal warm touch.

Since then I have assisted many projects, or with complete renovations, or with the intervention of the whole device with my company: MOS interiors.

As an interior specialist and editor of a lifestyle magazine, all wonderful places in the world that I have visited as well as the many people I meet on my path, have inspired me in my sense of color, space and insights into trends.

I am also very privileged to be allowed to live in an inspiring piece of world heritage: our own capital 'Amsterdam'.

Let me and my guest bloggers take you to the beautiful things in life and especially do not hesitate to provide us with your comments at the bottom of each blog-posts or on the Facebook page of Lifestyle2go.

Enjoy reading and viewing with pleasure!

Pretty Pastel with Easter
Posted on: 29 march 2013 Posted by: Berine

It's almost there, 31 March and 1 April it's Easter again. 2 days filled with delicious brunches completed with easterbread, fresh croissants, beautifully laid tables, lit candles, chicks, Easter bunnies and of course Easter eggs, as well as from chocolate or from a chicken. But there is something else ...

@ like My Brand event
Posted on: 29 march 2013 Posted by: Madelon

Hilarious as we got out the car! Two Lifestyle2go 'Ninja Turtles' on the move. Two souls who had the same thought in the morning. Your bloggers both in a green jumpsuit, but each in her own style. An idea as company uniform?

Like My Brand
Posted on: 29 march 2013 Posted by: Madelon

Last tuesday evening we were guests at the Harbour Club for the 'Like my Brand' event. This event was set up by the Goodiebaggirls. A great initiatief wich is new here in the Netherlands. It was an evening where we had to go 'speed dating'. Not with a guy, but with well known or lesser known brands.

H&M conscious experience exclusive collection
Posted on: 28 march 2013 Posted by: Kitty

H&M is doing fine. At first they co-operated with the World Wildlife Fund and launched a concept for a clothing exchange. Soon they will be back with something new: the H&M conscious exclusive collection. Wonderful party wear with a dose of old Hollywood glamour. Can’t wait! Available April 4.

Dancing hair
Posted on: 28 march 2013 Posted by: Kitty

I don't have the faintest idea if the skin on your head will indeed be stimulated. But I can tell for sure that your hair will be shinier and easier to manage. At least for my thick, coarse (and almost impossible) hair, Mason Pearson's hairbrushes are just perfect. Unfortunately these pig-haired brushes, fabricated since 1885, don¹t come cheap.

Easter
Posted on: 28 march 2013 Posted by: Madelon

Lovely, it is Easter again. This time with winter weather, but that makes us snuggle up cosy and dress up your home even more for this festivity. For us as a family that means a get-together, all moved out kids sleep over and with long seatings at the table. Burning candles, cracking fireplace, matzoth, painted eggs and warm croissants should not be missing at our Easter brunch.

Fashion High Tea by Jos van Raak
Posted on: 28 march 2013 Posted by: Madelon

This week we were very honored to have been invited to an intimate Fashion High Tea from the shop Raak.
In the middle of lots of famous Dutch actors, stylists and bloggers, were my daughters and I seated at a wonderfully laid table with delicious scones and other finger food whilst beautiful models were parading in between the tables, showing us the newest sumer trends.

The restaurant is named '117 by Wout Bru ', and refers to the temporary nature of the restaurant: The restaurant will be only be open to the public for 117 days. Keep your hat up
Posted on: 27 march 2013 Posted by: Berine

Hats aren’t just used and seen as an accessorise, but also as an ‘fashion statement’. An item that can make your outfit. They’ve been worn for hundreds of years in all different shapes and sizes. With gigantic flaps, flowers and bows till “bird nests”, shoes and what not! Anything you can think of, there will be a hat made with it.

Rice Cube: Aussie gadget works like sushi Tetris
Posted on: 25 march 2013 Posted by: Anne-Marie

The Rice Cube sushi maker promises relief for enthusiastic, but ultimately incompetent, home sushi chefs. This kitchen gadget looks like it was pulled from a game of Tetris and given 3D life in bright red plastic. I have attempted to make sushi at home using a bamboo mat, seaweed, vegetables, sushi rice, and fumbling fingers.

Spring Event Loggere Wilpower
Posted on: 25 march 2013 Posted by: Madelon

Last week we visited the Spring Event at Loggere Wilpower. As always we were overwhelmed by the titillating atmosphere of this beautiful mansion in the woods of 's-Gravenland. They exposed all the new collections of their fabrics and furniture, like for instance Elitis, Manuel Canovas, Lizzo and so much more.

Decorating your ears
Posted on: 22 march 2013 Posted by: Kitty

Earrings can make or break your outfit. I love every kind of accessory. Essential details, in this case earrings, provide your look with that personal touch. The beautiful ear creations and colourful combos by Marni couture never cease to astonish me. Labels like Couleurs de Geraldine, Reminiscence, Mippies and Sarah Lou offer wonderful – and more affordable – eye catchers as well.

Recommendation: The European Fine Art Faire in Maastricht
Posted on: 20 march 2013 Posted by: Anne-Marie

Last week the TEFAF (The European Fine Art Fair) in Maastricht opened his doors. This is the largest art and antiques fair in the world. I spoke with Sanne ten Brink, the senior conservator of the ING-art collection in the Netherlands. She told us about her favourites. I grew up with art.

Flora & Fauna
Posted on: 18 march 2013 Posted by: Kitty

Judging by their summer-collections, lots of designers have been suffering from tropical fever lately. Even old hand Oscar de la Renta (85!) once more proved his everlasting creativity with a gorgeously colourful spring/summer collection. His creations are elegant and super-feminine, with a taste for colour and an eye for detail which never fail to brighten my day.

Ayilya fort, India
Posted on: 14 march 2013 Posted by: Madelon

Ahilya Fort (Maheshwar, Madya Pradesh) is a total authentic and unbelievable Indian experience at the banks of the second sacred river of India: Narmada. It is a 18th century heritage ruled since 250 years by the Holgar family. The hotel has 13 rooms of which the tent, with its own garden and magnificent view of the river,  is my favorite.

Framed wall-paper
Posted on: 13 march 2013 Posted by: Kitty

Years ago I found an age-old piece of wall-paper at a Belgian antiques shop. I fell in love at once, and spent far too much money buying it. But voilà, here’s the result: a unique piece of art, beautiful colours, very special and decorative. I moved it to a less prominent place in my house, ...

& Other Stories, the luxery little sister of H&M
Posted on: 11 march 2013 Posted by: Anne-Marie

Loose, sharp and hip and not for one season. These are the features of the latest label from the stables of the H&M group. Makeup, skin care, jewelry, bags, belts, sunglasses, shoes, (I absolutely love the  shoes), perfume. You name it, they have it. Unfortunately we can not dive in the racks yet.

Freedom and quality at Humanoid
Posted on: 08 march 2013 Posted by: Kitty

Freedom and quality constitute the philosophy of Dutch design-label Humanoid. The quality is perfect indeed and the clothes are very comfortable. I¹d like to wear my grey trousers every day and if possible even at night J. They are not just comfy, but can be made elegant as well, teamed with a pair of heels.

Spot the real Herve Léger!
Posted on: 08 march 2013 Posted by: Berine

They suit every figure, they exist in a variety of colours and they're sold in an expensive version, a la Herve Léger, but, luckily, also in a cheaper version from French Connection! And if you ask me, I think they look, almost, just the same. They are perfect for every season; in winter you ...

Who wants to feel like a princess?
Posted on: 08 march 2013 Posted by: Kitty

Headboards for beds come in all shapes and sizes. To me a headboard is an essential part of any attractive bedroom. Let your creativity flow and almost anything is possible. I love this one with beautiful antique doors. But romantic ones made out of wood are lovely as well, and I even found an inspiring picture of a headboard made of shutters.

A Royal fragrance
Posted on: 08 march 2013 Posted by: Anne-Marie

Only available in Paris, London and of all places (Zeeland) Terneuzen. During a company visit at perfumery Safique in Terneuzen I discovered the special fragrances of Amouage. Princess Maxima is using the perfume, according to insiders. Safique is a fantastic perfumery with specific brands like Annick Goutal and the earlier mentioned luxury perfume House Amouage.

Fresh Forest fruits
Posted on: 05 march 2013 Posted by: Berine

Addicted. That's probably the best way to describe my feeling for forest fruits. Blueberries, raspberries, strawberries and blackberries all belong to this category. Apart from that they are very, very delicious they are also super healthy! It has been scientifically proved that berries have some of the highest antioxidant levels of any fresh fruits.

Coffee lounge Oosterbeek
Posted on: 05 march 2013 Posted by: Madelon

And after a long car drive from the east of Holland and Amsterdam, we met up in the middle in a great place for coffees and teas. The sandwiches we choose were delicious and gave as a lot of energy for the photo session we had afterwards at Meike Fashion, next door. Coffee Lounge Weverstraat 13&nb

The sun is out!
Posted on: 05 march 2013 Posted by: Madelon

Yes, we are so happy: the week is so promising with loads of sunshine. The first lamb was born and named after our fabulous tv anchor woman Eva Jinek. That brings along a tremendous urge for spring shopping. Your Lifestyle2go team has had themselves photographed in Oosterbeek at Meike Fashion. A true heaven for the fashionable woman.

Prima Ballerina
Posted on: 01 march 2013 Posted by: Berine

I already do dancing since I was three years old, dancing is not just a hobby or a sport of mine, it is also a way of fun and freedom. Throughout the years I have been to a variety of different dance school, including Lucia Marthas in Amsterdam,  where I practiced all kinds of dances. From classical ballet to breakdance and from jazz dance to hip hop and musical dancing.

A tast of the Northern of France, in Zeeland
Posted on: 01 march 2013 Posted by: Anne-Marie

To taste the atmosphere of France, you don’t have to go far. Westkapelle in Zeeland is far enough. I love the smaller hotels that aren’t known to the general public yet. In my first guest blog I therefore tip you on a nice chambre and table d'hôte in my home province, Zeeland. 'France-North ' is a farm property from 1750 with an open Coach House and some outbuildings.

Flowers love people
Posted on: 01 march 2013 Posted by: Kitty

Are you - like me - totally into decorative details at home? In that case I’m sure you’ll adore these tiles by Bisazza. That is, provide you like flowers… and are the lucky owner of a roomy house! Inspired by classic Rome, glass mosaic by Bisazza is modern and trendy at the same time.

A knife, a fork, a bottle and a cork, that's the way...
Posted on: 01 march 2013 Posted by: Madelon

Aren't these a great way to celebrate a green environment?!  Designer Alkesh Parmar created these chandeliers from hollowed champagne bottle corks with LED inside. You can have them custom made to fit any restaurant-, hotel- or home interior.
