About me

So happy that you have found my website!

On Lifestyle2go.com I share through weekly blogs, all my personal findings in the field of Lifestyle, which are life-enriching.

For years people have been picking my brains for tips on travel, fashion, interior, recipes, beauty, events and much more.

My creativity is partly due to the many worldwide travels I've made and the different countries and places where I have lived as a child with my parents, alone and with my family.

My work as an interior designer is something I have inherited from home. My mother was always busy with decorating and changing our interior. Subconsciously, I took the habit on as a child and made sure my room was always contemporary with a personal warm touch.

Since then I have assisted many projects, or with complete renovations, or with the intervention of the whole device with my company: MOS interiors.

As an interior specialist and editor of a lifestyle magazine, all wonderful places in the world that I have visited as well as the many people I meet on my path, have inspired me in my sense of color, space and insights into trends.

I am also very privileged to be allowed to live in an inspiring piece of world heritage: our own capital 'Amsterdam'.

Let me and my guest bloggers take you to the beautiful things in life and especially do not hesitate to provide us with your comments at the bottom of each blog-posts or on the Facebook page of Lifestyle2go.

Enjoy reading and viewing with pleasure!

‘It does not matter if you are Black or White’ Michael Jackson
Posted on: 26 march 2014 Posted by: Madelon

The combination of black and white you will again see a lot this summer. Actually, black and white are not to be seen as colors. Colors have a link to light and white is light and black is the lack of it. Both always play a big role in the fashion industry. Sometimes you see either one of them during ...

My loves on a bag

Like me, many friends are going to meet Sarah this year. It's still a decent milestone. Not that I did not know what to do with the number 50 though, I'm glad I may experience this even. If I would reach this age at all, has been the question on several scary occasions in my life yet. No, I will not complain .

Venice. Every time I am there its beauty again overwhelms me. I also have the privilege to live in a city with many channels, which like Venice is listed on the World Heritage List of UNESCO. What we as cities have in common is that the buildings in Venice as in Amsterdam, because of its marshy ground are constructed on stilts.

my last winter convulsion
Posted on: 20 march 2014 Posted by: Madelon

This is, I think, I hope, my last winter look of this past season. After this summer's day today, the weatherman says that tomorrow it will be 'just' 10 degrees Celsius and as a tropical girl I find this pretty cold. So here it is, one of my favorite outfits from last winter.   The flare jeans, ...

A spontaneous weekend away in own country, now that seemed like a well-deserved idea to us. €50 per person for two nights, a cozy interior, known for their breakfast, only a 2 minutes walk from the beach and 5 to the centre. It sounded too good to be true... but fortunately it was nothing but the truth! After a 2.

You probably know them well, those wonderful brushes from Mason Pearson ..... Well MP move over; You're very thorough competitor has risen.   Two cute women believed there could be something more cheerful on the market, than those expensive dull black species. And here is the result, sprouted from their creative brain.

We need your help in Ghana this month!!
Posted on: 12 march 2014 Posted by: Madelon

As many of you know, I went to Ghana at the beginning of last year, to give workshops with a group of women and some of our children for the To Be Worldwide Foundation. To Be gives children in Ghana the opportunity to expand their skills after school in specifically designed centres for this purpose, with facilities including a library and computer rooms.

Bye bye winter interior, hello tropical look
Posted on: 11 march 2014 Posted by: Madelon

With all that sunshine in my home, I immediately feel the urge to change the whole interior. Bye bye wintery colors, hello tropical look.   Sure all was beautiful, that grey, brown, fur, but sooooo passé. Actually, I've never been a taupe - grey type with regard to the colors in my house.

Let the sunshine in, let the sunshine in, the su.u.nshine in! It makes my insanely happy, this spring weather during our weekend. Actually I wanted to leave the house this morning in very summery clothes, to sail the canals, but fortunately my husband had the wisdom to advise me to wear a sweater. Good advice.

Most skiers have by now visited their favorite ski resort. Personally I like to venture a descent with Easter again (which once resulted in green pastures, mud runs and for lunch there were people in shorts and flip-flops on the terraces while we were puffing in our ski outfits with the thermometer indicating high in the twenties celcius.

Sure, everyone had to have him when he just came out: the new Iphone 5S. And even I found ‘ because it has such an insanely good camera’ the best excuse to get hold of the thing. After all, I do shoot a lot for my job, so…. And so I became the proud owner of the gold copy….

spring-look in my sphere
Posted on: 02 march 2014 Posted by: Madelon

Have you been lucky the past week, like me, with stunning sunshine? We spent wonderful days in the Italian snow and the Venetian carnival. And were we in luck; a sunny weekend in our own country as well. With spring already somewhat in my sphere, I would therefore like to share with you a summery look.
