About me

So happy that you have found my website!

On Lifestyle2go.com I share through weekly blogs, all my personal findings in the field of Lifestyle, which are life-enriching.

For years people have been picking my brains for tips on travel, fashion, interior, recipes, beauty, events and much more.

My creativity is partly due to the many worldwide travels I've made and the different countries and places where I have lived as a child with my parents, alone and with my family.

My work as an interior designer is something I have inherited from home. My mother was always busy with decorating and changing our interior. Subconsciously, I took the habit on as a child and made sure my room was always contemporary with a personal warm touch.

Since then I have assisted many projects, or with complete renovations, or with the intervention of the whole device with my company: MOS interiors.

As an interior specialist and editor of a lifestyle magazine, all wonderful places in the world that I have visited as well as the many people I meet on my path, have inspired me in my sense of color, space and insights into trends.

I am also very privileged to be allowed to live in an inspiring piece of world heritage: our own capital 'Amsterdam'.

Let me and my guest bloggers take you to the beautiful things in life and especially do not hesitate to provide us with your comments at the bottom of each blog-posts or on the Facebook page of Lifestyle2go.

Enjoy reading and viewing with pleasure!

It keeps on peeling
Posted on: 25 april 2014 Posted by: Madelon

These days you end up peeling all the time. And I am not talking about oranges but about my layers of clothing. In the mornings it is still rather cool to leave the house in just a shirt. So I really love those layers: as the day progresses you can take off one by one. The long shirt from Acne I originally bought for my daughter.

The world book of Love
Posted on: 21 april 2014 Posted by: Madelon

As part of the Easter thought I would like to draw your attention to this wonderful book that I got from my bff a while ago; The World Book of Love, the mystery of love.   The Belgian author Leo Bormans asked many scientist, professors and experts for this work and for his latest work " The World Book of Happiness' about their knowledge and learning of love.

The Royal Senchi Ghana
Posted on: 17 april 2014 Posted by: Madelon

In the West African country of Ghana, where I feel quite at home nowedays, recently a new hotel has opened that is not inferior to a four-star hotel on one of the Caribbean islands. Located on the western shore of the Volta Lake, the largest basin in the world with an area of 8502 km2, where you imagine yourself in a tropical paradise.

Nobilis en Wilhelmina van Aerssen
Posted on: 15 april 2014 Posted by: Madelon

Yesterday I was invited, with my company MOS Interiors, by the lovely and warm-hearted Wilhelmina van Aerssens to visit the famous French fabric house Nobilis Paris for one day. Wilhelmina van Aerssens represents with her eponymous company since 1981, a large number of leading brands in the field of interior fabrics, furniture and much more.

The Hague; two stores worthwhile for a royal visit
Posted on: 11 april 2014 Posted by: Madelon

Actually I rarely visit my hometown. But because I was in Rotterdam for the day, I decided to take the exit on the way back to Amsterdam. After all I had two excellent excuses to go to The Hague for a visit.   First of all my cute bridesmaid of 23 years ago, who happened to be a member of the same sorority as me, recently opened a very nice concept-gift store.

Curls and color, super service and more
Posted on: 06 april 2014 Posted by: Madelon

Normally I am very loyal to my hairdresser. But because of certain circumstances in the salon that I used to go to, I now wander around and try out several hair wizards.    And so I ended up, via my eyelash and eyebrow girlfriend (more on her next time), with the famous hair boutique in curls in front of the RAI exhibition in Amsterdam.

Sun, sea, beach .... Zeeland!
Posted on: 02 april 2014 Posted by: Anne-Marie

Today we had temperatures above 20 degrees so, what are you going to do when you live in Zeeland. To the beach of course! If you're not living as close to the sea as us, then I have a nice alternative for you.   In the small village of Groede, which has been nominated by radio 3 for nicest village in Netherlands last year, you can stay in a beach sleeping cottage right on the beach.
