About me

So happy that you have found my website!

On Lifestyle2go.com I share through weekly blogs, all my personal findings in the field of Lifestyle, which are life-enriching.

For years people have been picking my brains for tips on travel, fashion, interior, recipes, beauty, events and much more.

My creativity is partly due to the many worldwide travels I've made and the different countries and places where I have lived as a child with my parents, alone and with my family.

My work as an interior designer is something I have inherited from home. My mother was always busy with decorating and changing our interior. Subconsciously, I took the habit on as a child and made sure my room was always contemporary with a personal warm touch.

Since then I have assisted many projects, or with complete renovations, or with the intervention of the whole device with my company: MOS interiors.

As an interior specialist and editor of a lifestyle magazine, all wonderful places in the world that I have visited as well as the many people I meet on my path, have inspired me in my sense of color, space and insights into trends.

I am also very privileged to be allowed to live in an inspiring piece of world heritage: our own capital 'Amsterdam'.

Let me and my guest bloggers take you to the beautiful things in life and especially do not hesitate to provide us with your comments at the bottom of each blog-posts or on the Facebook page of Lifestyle2go.

Enjoy reading and viewing with pleasure!

Crazy about Chanel
Posted on: 30 november 2012 Posted by: Kitty

Coco Chanel was an inspiring and confident lady, famous for her flawless feel for elegance and style. Mind you, this was in the early 20th century! It's amazing how this house of fashion, now supervised by Karl Lagerfeld, still uses designs based upon Coco's creations. 'Sex and the City' actress Sarah ...

True Blue
Posted on: 23 november 2012 Posted by: Kitty

To me the colour blue is a constant inspiration in interior decorating, also in wintertime. Blue is versatile, there are so many different shades to play within one single room. Mixing lighter and darker blues allows you to create an atmosphere which can be cosy and pure at the same time, even Mediterranean.

No need to be sad with burgundy red

This winter a true hit again, this warm wine-red colour.   Left: Sweater with D&G type off application: Leon & Harper T-shirt: American Vintage Trousers: Zara   Right: Jacket: IRO T-shirt: American Vintage Trousers: Zara   And at the the  Amsterdam webshop, Little Soho, we saw this combination with Burgundy red.

Party packaging
Posted on: 16 november 2012 Posted by: Kitty

Doesn't every girl like to play with bows? There´s no party without them! Although bow blouses tend to be somewhat prissy, this one adds a super feminine touch and a stylish look to your outfit. I myself always pair classics with sturdy looking or casual items. Such as this hip miniskirt and feisty fur vest.

Dream tables
Posted on: 16 november 2012 Posted by: Kitty

Is there anything more fun than wining and dining for hours with the people you love? Especially when seated at one of those fine tables by Pilat & Pilat. The latest item in their collection is called Bernd. Bernd¹s legs are made of industrial steel, interconnected by a wooden beam. The table top is large and made of elm or walnut wood.

'10 years Celebration Show' from the Dutch designer Addy van den
Posted on: 16 november 2012 Posted by: Madelon

Last week we, as lifestyle2go, were invited by the women from ‘High Travel Fashion’ (which you will read about another time!), an initiative of Helen Kuipers-Conijn and Anette Wezenberg, for the swirling anniversary show of Addy van den Krommenacker. Shows of Addy had been taking place ...

Living in Manhattan
Posted on: 16 november 2012 Posted by: Madelon

When we were once about to pack all our stuff and swap ‘The Big Blue Blazer Bush/forest’ (a little nickname for our previous home town) for New York City, to teach the kids streetwise skills, our dream house in Amsterdam got put on sale. To make a long story short, instead of ‘New Amsterdam’ we choose ‘Old Amsterdam’.

These boots are made for walking (and for bad weather too)
Posted on: 12 november 2012 Posted by: Madelon

Nothing wrong with wearing flour colours even in winter time. Just a matter of combining them with typical winter colours like grey, black or nay blue. These boots feature a wax layer and are totally lined with sheepskin. Don't you think they are the ultimate replacement for Ugg!   Boots: Baldinini Trousers: ...

Animal prints are always in fashion
Posted on: 09 november 2012 Posted by: Kitty

This winter almost every designer and most labels are embracing animal prints. Snakeskin, but preferably leopard. Mind you, animal prints can be tricky – even tacky! But there’s nothing to worry about if you make a classy match and choose the right materials. Team your animal print with camel, black and jeans and you’ll look fab.

Work in residential atmosphere
Posted on: 09 november 2012 Posted by: Madelon

The owner of this office asked me to turn his office into a homy interior. It should definitely not have the typical office atmosphere. His clients and co-workers should feel 'at home'. And every seating should be a comfortable one.  Housed in one of the most beautiful buildings of Amsterdam, with a canal in front and on the side and an amazing view at the Rijksmuseum.

For Kids by H&M and Unicef
Posted on: 09 november 2012 Posted by: Kitty

Magical kids wear by H&M and Unicef for their project All For Children. A unique joint initiative aimed at ending child labour and supporting education. 25% of every item sold directly benefits this project. Of course I support this initiative with all my heart. And my daughter simply adores her cute polar bear coat.

Ton sur ton
Posted on: 02 november 2012 Posted by: Kitty

Ton sur ton basics in your interior or wardrobe provide a feeling of serenity as well as a classy appearance. Black and white, for instance, is always a perfect match, and easily combines with warm coloured natural materials like wood or sisal. Ikea sells the ideal basic frames for a photo galery like ...

Finding the perfect jeans is an eternal struggle. It¹s always the same with women and their jeans; can¹t live with them, can't live without them :-) I for one have clung to favourite pairs by Zara (!) and Citizens of Humanity for years. Recently I finally decided to be brave and go for something new.

Zerba Italia
Posted on: 02 november 2012 Posted by: Kitty

During an unexpected visit to The Hague, I completely fell for the feminine details of the shoes and accessories by 25 year old designer Norma de Robles, at Zerba Italia. Nice to know: Norma works with the same manufacturers as Gucci, Louis Vuitton and other high end labels... but at a much better price! Of course I was seduced by a lovely fur stole.
