About me

So happy that you have found my website!

On Lifestyle2go.com I share through weekly blogs, all my personal findings in the field of Lifestyle, which are life-enriching.

For years people have been picking my brains for tips on travel, fashion, interior, recipes, beauty, events and much more.

My creativity is partly due to the many worldwide travels I've made and the different countries and places where I have lived as a child with my parents, alone and with my family.

My work as an interior designer is something I have inherited from home. My mother was always busy with decorating and changing our interior. Subconsciously, I took the habit on as a child and made sure my room was always contemporary with a personal warm touch.

Since then I have assisted many projects, or with complete renovations, or with the intervention of the whole device with my company: MOS interiors.

As an interior specialist and editor of a lifestyle magazine, all wonderful places in the world that I have visited as well as the many people I meet on my path, have inspired me in my sense of color, space and insights into trends.

I am also very privileged to be allowed to live in an inspiring piece of world heritage: our own capital 'Amsterdam'.

Let me and my guest bloggers take you to the beautiful things in life and especially do not hesitate to provide us with your comments at the bottom of each blog-posts or on the Facebook page of Lifestyle2go.

Enjoy reading and viewing with pleasure!

Orange on top!
Posted on: 29 april 2013 Posted by: Madelon

Tomorrow everyone will be decked out in our national color orange. So why not as prominently as possible and put on a fluorescent orange color. Totally the trend of this moment!   KITTY  Blazer: Maison Scotch Blouse: Maison Scotch Pants: Maison Scotch Sneakers: March ...

Dear compatriots
Posted on: 26 april 2013 Posted by: Berine

Hereby I would like to announce that there are only 3 more nights left until Queens’s night! Apart from the lovely atmosphere planning parties and festivals you will be attending or sorting out all your old junk from your closet to sell, there is also a little (very much) stress… Because what will you wear this time? Yes something orange, but that’s no news.

Being trendy with flying colours
Posted on: 26 april 2013 Posted by: Berine

Before the whole of the Netherlands turns orange… This Spring and Summer 2013 the red-white-blue flags have totally made a comeback; The Netherlands, England and U.S. We already had a flavour of the flags last year, but now it's being dressed in those colors from head to toe. So bring those flags alive this season! On your jeans, shorts, t-shirts, headbands, go wild and go flag.

My tip of this week
Posted on: 24 april 2013 Posted by: Madelon

Every week I will take you through glimpses of my handy interior tips which I normally just share with my clients. This time I am showing you part of my kitchen counter. Right next to my stove I always keep this wooden pot, full of stir-, fry-,serving- and beaters-tools a person needs while preparing meals.

Fair + Fair
Posted on: 23 april 2013 Posted by: Kitty

Alongside one of Amsterdam’s canals, the Herengracht, and located in an authentic canal house, you can find a very special (tiny) department store. This store sells handmade design furniture, lamps and rugs. Fair + Fair is based on the principles of fair trade, social design and recycling. The products are made in third world countries, profits benefit the FAIR house Project.

Love it to the maxi
Posted on: 22 april 2013 Posted by: Madelon

Aren't you a great fan of the maxi dresses and skirts as an everyday wear, like I am? It reminds me of the roaring skirts and laced up bodies from centuries ago. The women were all dressed so feminine.  Although you won't see me wearing something maxi during an ordinary weekday, I do often wear it on my holidays.

ML Fabrics
Posted on: 19 april 2013 Posted by: Kitty

Her love of fabrics is instantly apparent. I for one can wax totally lyrical about the beautiful interior fabrics by Marie-Louise. She is always looking for natural products; the main part of her collection is made out of heavy stonewashed linen. Designs by ML are never over the top. On the contrary; they are understated and refined.

Clothing tips for ginger heads
Posted on: 18 april 2013 Posted by: Anne-Marie

My son is blessed with a huge bunch of ginger curls. Are you a naturally ginger head or have you just dyed your hair and in doubt what colors to ware this summer? Now you can read my color advise. With an ivory, yellow or golden undertone in your skin and brown, hazelnut, green or clear blue eyes and ...

Fashion by Fabergé
Posted on: 12 april 2013 Posted by: Kitty

Last week we were invited at the colourful fashion show by Fabergé Hengelo. In the all-new setting of Stravinsky food & drinks, Nicole showed her very own collection, acquired from Paris and Milan. It's so clever and daring how she spreads her wings from interior decorating to fashion. After the show we could shop to our hearts' content at the 'mini-Fabergé'.

Finally warm colors and warmer weather!
Posted on: 12 april 2013 Posted by: Madelon

We do have a dream job! Helping clients choose, in doubt, what to wear the next season. And we love to share our choices of clothing sets, for our customers of different ages and with different styles.   KITTY Jeans jacket: Maison Scotch Blouse:  Day Trousers: Atlor & Psyche   MADELON Leather ...

The Otura closet
Posted on: 10 april 2013 Posted by: Kitty

To me this is pure genius. Even though this closet doesn’t match my interior at all, I love the concept: stackable units, to be used as closets, side tables, night tables and … stools. Otura is Turkish and means ‘please sit down’. Inspired by her Turkish in-laws, to whom hospitality is everything, designer Rianne Koens invented a multi-usable closet.

Simple, comfortable but still oh so fashionable
Posted on: 05 april 2013 Posted by: Berine

Everyone has those days when you wake up and you feel good yet bad. The sun is shining, yet it’s ice cold. Are you going for a walk outside or stay in to be a ‘couch potato’? And now, what kind of outfit suits such a day... Will I go for tight, wide, dresses, jeans, heels, boots or ...

Show someone the ropes
Posted on: 05 april 2013 Posted by: Madelon

Ohhhh longing for the beach with supporting weather was never as strong as now. Although next week the temperature is rising itsipitsie, beaching is an utopia. We could start warming up for the coming summer weather on a pair of designer espadrilles. These shoes are certainly not something new. They were already fabricated in the 14th century in Catalonia.

Malene Birger
Posted on: 05 april 2013 Posted by: Kitty

To me designer Malene Birger will always be one of my favourites. Her sense of style and aesthetics is inspired by the female and classic styles from the ’50s and ’60s. Is it because of her use of colour or just the way she teams her separates? My wish-list for this season is endless&he

Spring is in the air
Posted on: 04 april 2013 Posted by: Berine

Although the weather forecast tells us they’re still expecting snow, last weekend the first sunrays came through. And how could I have better celebrated it than with an up and top spring outfit?! I opened my curtains, the sun came through, good mood was present and with a smile on my face a directly thought of colour… pink for example! However, Holland stays Holland.
